Christmas & New Year Delivery
Our Fulfilment Centre reopens on 29 December and will be dispatching orders placed between 24th and 29th December. It is then closed until Tuesday 3 January 2017. Orders placed from noon on the 29th December until 1pm on Tuesday 3 January will be dispatched on Tuesday 3 January.
We send our parcels by 1st Class Royal Mail or by Interlink Express courier which provides the customer wtih a 1 hour delivery time slot and the abilty to change the day of delivery, arrange collection from a local point, or leave in a safe place. Occasionally we use UK Mail for larger bulky items.
If you spend over £50 and your delivery address is in the UK mainland, you will receive free delivery. This will calculate automatically when you process your shopping cart.
To place an order you will be asked to provide a valid email address so that we can send a confirmation email as soon as your order has been dispatched. This helps you to know when you can expect your delivery. Where possible please include a mobile number so that couriers can keep you informed by text and notify approximate time of delivery and any options for alternative delivery arrangements or leaving in a safe place.
Prices include VAT at 20% and exclude our delivery charge unless otherwise stated. Whilst care is taken to ensure that prices are accurate at the time of entry on to the website, we reserve the right to alter prices at any time prior to you placing your order with us.

Please note that certain items are excluded from International delivery. These items may include mirrors and furniture (indoor and outdoor) and electrical items. This is due to a number of reasons including legalities, warranties and logistics.
If your order is below £50 our standard delivery will apply and we aim for your order to be with you in 2-3 days, although it is often sooner.
Priority/Next Day Delivery
The postage charge is worked out automatically at the basket. All orders must be placed before 1pm to ensure next day delivery (not usually available for weekend delivery). We use Interlink Express for the majority of our couriers services and also UK Mail for larger items.
Orders placed after 1pm on Friday and over the weekend will be delivered the following Tuesday. Please note that we are closed during public holidays, so please allow an extra day for delivery.
If you require urgent delivery or delivery at at weekend, please do contact us and we will do our best to accommodate this. However, please be advised that this will be subject to additional fees and we will provide you with a quote.
Dispatch of items
We pride ourselves on our rapid service and aim to dispatch all orders promptly. If the item is in stock, we will endeavour to ensure delivery to you within 2-3 days of your order, often this will be sooner.
Items listed on the website are usually in stock unless it states otherwise. If the item is currently out of stock we will contact you by telephone or email. If, for any reason your item does not arrive within 10 working days of the date of our email confirming dispatch, please contact us on 01483 255 977 or by email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Where items ordered are not received by the date provided to you for delivery, or in any event within 30 days of the date of our acknowledgement of our order, you may cancel your order in accordance with our Terms and Conditions and we we will refund your payment to us in full, including delivery costs.
When we are unable to provide the item ordered because it is no longer available to us, you will be contacted by a Customer Sales Advisor.
Couriered delivery requires a signature, and couriers are not authorised to leave parcels unattended for security reasons. Risk in the item will pass to you on delivery. Please make sure that you check your items carefully before you use them. Please notify us immediately of any items found to be missing or damaged in transit. We recommend that you keep your receipt, packaging and order number, which can be found on your confirmation email or on the order invoice that comes with your delivery, because you might need it as proof of purchase in the event of any after sales enquiry.
Furniture - Direct delivery by Suppliers
Certain items (for example, furniture) are delivered direct from our suppliers. Lead times for these items do vary but are generally delivered within 10- 14 workings days unless the furniture item is a bespoke item or made to order. Please be aware that certain direct deliveries can only be delivered to mainland UK addresses. Unfortunately we cannot offer furniture deliveries abroad.
We arrange delivery through Royal Mail and couriers such as DPD, Interlink Express and UK Mail depending upon the location and item to be delivered. This may mean that where more than one item is ordered, items may be delivered separately. In the event that you are not home at the time of delivery, a card will be left. You can then either wait for the second delivery attempt (usually the next working day) or telephone the courier number to make an arrangement to collect from their local depot at a convenient time. Certain couriers will provide you with details via your mobile of their predicted delivery hour time slot. Please provide your mobile where possible so that we can keep you informed.
If we are still unable to make a successful delivery after two attempts, your order will be held at a local depot for 5 working days, after which your order will be returned to our warehouse. You may then request the order to be re-delivered at an extra delivery cost, or cancel your order in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
In certain circumstances, such as traffic accidents, extreme weather conditions failure on the part of our supplier, or unforeseen technical or other problems beyond our control, we may be unable to fulfil your delivery in accordance with these terms. For such exceptions, we may require additional time and effort to fulfil the delivery. If this occurs, we will make our best efforts to deliver your order as soon as we possibly can, or you may opt to cancel and receive a full refund.
General terms of delivery:
We deliver to all mainland UK addresses with a valid post code. If we cannot deliver, we will notify you. Some remote locations may be a 2 day delivery rather than a next day (please check with us if you are concerned).
Delivery times apply only to products in stock.
Our couriers work throughout the day, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) so your order may arrive any time between 9:00am and 5:30pm. Certain couriers will provide a text information service for delivery within an hour's slot, so please enter your mobile number at check out if you would like to be informed.
Some deliveries will require a signature. If you nominate a safe place to leave your parcel, this shall be at the Customer's risk and Duck Barn Interiors cannot accept responsibility.
Products may be dispatched from different locations and may therefore arrive separately - you will not incur additional delivery charges under these circumstances.
For security reasons we cannot deliver to a BFPO address
We reserve the right not to deliver if we believe the address is not secure, for example, to communal postal addresses or a PO BOX - if this affects an order you place, we will notify you as soon as possible.
