Hello Style Ideas!
Before we know it, we are knee deep into July. How did that happen? I’ve been inspired to get a few things at home sorted recently, so that my spaces are easier to transition in and out of. I’ve updated some of my storage solutions and added hooks downstairs to make things easy to grab if the weather takes a turn and the boys have also started sharing their bedroom so we have bunk beds and the toys have had a huge sort out too (I’ve had to tell James a few have gone on holiday…) It was this need for an easy convenient experience that has inspired us to add something to our website and I am excited to be sharing it with you now…

We have been rather busy at Duck Barn. We’ve introduced a few stunning furniture ranges including the elegant French inspired Chic Bedroom collection and the modern mirrored Pippard collection too. Tracy has been working her interiors magic and has found some beautiful new products to add to a few of our collections from stunning soft grey cushions to beautifully handcrafted ceramics. As always, each product that makes it onto the website has been handpicked and we hope you like them as much as we do. All can be seen in our ‘New In’ section if you’d like a little browse.
Whilst adding these new beautiful furniture collections and home accessories, it got us thinking about bringing style ideas together. Sometimes it’s tricky to visualise products that would work best in certain spaces; items that might complement each other and, especially if you’re starting new project, having the inspiration to know what might look right, what’s on trend or where to start. We have created a new section on our website called Style Ideas: a group of themes that we have put together that include a gorgeous array of our products and colours that go hand-in-hand. Use them as your very own interior design service - we’ve even created mood boards for each style on Pinterest so you can pin from them to create your own. Which style idea do you like best? My favourite has to be Industrial Chic - it’s a gorgeous mixture of materials including metal and wood and the textures of cool cement against warm copper look incredible. It’s completely on trend too. Try mixing some of our St Ives outdoor lighting, which for this theme looks incredible inside too. Add a cement doorstop, textured wicker baskets and shining copper lanterns and hey presto - instant cool Industrial style. Mix with a cool colour palette of stark fresh whites and light and dark greys to complete the look- our grey cushions and throws work perfectly here too. I especially love our new grey Crown cushion and Designer’s Guild Alabaster bed throw.
Tracy, founder of Duck Barn and also our interior designer has put together the beautiful eclectic Windsor Heights style idea. It mixes together luxury and practicality alongside a look that is truly unique and incredible stylish. Inspired by the extravagance of the royal town Windsor where Tracy has recently been based for a big and exciting interiors project at Castle View, the range mixes rich colours including golds and coppers and decadent textures of velvet and glass. The new Pippard furniture range features heavily here and looks beautiful adorned with a selection of our vases, sculptures and frames. Tracy especially likes the gorgeous aluminium coral sculpture with the soft luxury of our large velvet Paoletti Rust cushions which you can team up with warm creams and natural linens to achieve this stunning look.

As well as these two gorgeous style ideas we also have a cute children’s range aptly named Little Ducklings; the fresh and pretty style Wild Meadows that features eau de nil greens and delicate floral prints, Grey Tones features all things monochrome and is bang on trend and our beautiful French inspired bedroom style Parisian Chic, featuring our silver painted furniture of the same name alongside deep midnight blues and silvers. We are aiming to add to these over the coming months including a special Christmas (yes, I said it!) Style idea for those prepping for the festive season.
